Hmm. A combination of "fallen angel" meets "Icarus" - interesting. I once again, however, counsel you to SHOW, not tell - you have some lovely lines, but you let yourself get trapped into explaining your meaning a bit by the end.
I'd like to work with this in class and do some editing.
